We love the screened in area outside. Such a nice view. Decorating inside and out is great. Our food was very good, and our server was so welcoming and attentive. She turned the outside heaters on even though we were the only ones out there and consistently checked on us to make sure we were doing ok. I really appreciated her friendliness.
Hands down this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! As a travel agent I am always looking for new restaurants to try out. This is definitely one I will be recommending to my clients. Our server Reagen was absolutely amazing, she was great with our kids. And the food! Oh my gosh the food was to die for! Their deep-fried mushrooms and onion rings were the best I have ever had! If you find yourself in this area, definitely stop!
This place doesn’t even compare to the hole in the wall Moonraker that used to be in Galesburg. They have 3 separate outdoor decks to choose from, and in one of them you can have your dog with you! My wife is vegetarian and was surprised to see that they have a separate vegetarian menu to order from. It’s really good! We’ll be back!
Wonderful place! We came for a late lunch and chose this place as it states that it had outside dining and we travel with our dog. They actually have a designated outdoor area for customers with dogs…super nice. Had a water bowl too. The spot was on the river, and we took our dog for a quick swim. Our waitress was super friendly and prompt. I had the chicken parm special which was great, and hubby had wings (he really enjoyed). We basically shared our food and couldn’t finish. It’s really nice to find a place where we didn’t have to sacrifice one thing to get another. Really great place.
I live 75 miles away. I had always viewed signs on I-94 near Battle Creek of the unique MOONRAKER name for a lounge/restaurant for the past 35 years. Today I saw a billboard on I-94 that said MOONRAKER – 7 miles ahead – so I was glad to see they were still in business and made it a point to stop in. Great food, atmosphere, and our wonderful hostess made our day. Will definitely be back.
A great place for lunch or dinner. Extensive menu, nice atmosphere, at least in the back. Extra room for parties.
Moonraker has always been a great place to eat and drink, but the new upgrades have made it even better! The back screened-in porch is now my favorite. Fried perch basket is my go-to and the beers are great! I will definitely be back every visit home.
Our kids and the Grandkids, from out of town, took us out for dinner to celebrate her birthday. All of us had a fantastic time dining outside, with a great view. Our sweet waitress (If memory serves me, named Kylie) was extremely good, and made sure we were treated like royalty. The food was delicious, I had the Perch Basket. Kylie even asked my son if he wanted a ” to go” cup for his pop when we were Leaving. Thanks for a nice afternoon, and hold on to Kylie, she’s a treasure. We’ll be back soon!
The owner has done a complete renovation and it is beautiful! We sat in the outdoor dining area for lunch, the weather was perfect! They have a screened in area with shade and an open area to sit in the sun. The food was great, which almost felt like a bonus because the atmosphere was just that nice! I really have to give it up to the Moonraker what a comeback!
Haven’t been there in a couple of years and was impressed with the changes to the interior and the outdoor dining area. The food and service were excellent and will be going back in the future.
